Here we read "how his sweat became has great drops of blood" falling to the ground.
I ask, was this the first of the blood that Jesus shed on his way to Calvary?
And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
Bible Question? A Little Spiritual Seed Sowing Here.?
I never thought of it like that but it makes sense. So, are you saying, Jesus's death began in the Garden?
Reply:Thank you for explaining. And we are speaking about the spiritual being, right? Report Abuse
Reply:No, that is just a metaphor used to show his sweat was thick and sticky like blood notice the word as which you spelled has that shows a metaphor
Reply:seed sowing? giving seeds to a sow? shouldn't it be seeding the sow then? you're confusing poor yahoos here.
Reply:Sorry Brother, but I for one believe that Jesus actually walked that earth, but that he was a man like us all, and not the "Son of God" (He supposedly said he was the Son of Man), but I am suspicious of any of the writings about him that portray him as a deity. Virtually everything that was written about him was written after he supposedly died on the Cross, the earliest was at least a decade later, and not by any eye-witnesses.
Reply:he was always ultimately headed toward calvary.
Reply:that is right
