Any advise on jacking up my shed about 10 inches?

I did a search and I believe my best bet to move my shed up 10 inches or so to get it out of flood danger is to jack it put and place it on concrete block footers.

Anyone have suggestions on what size jacks to look for at the home stored. I need to move it up 10 or so inches from where it is. It is already 4-5 inches off of the soil. Do I need to move it a lot to do my work? how many jacks do you think would be needed for an approx 8x8(or 10) shed/barn?

Thanks for the suggestions. I haven't see any detailed instructions anywhere.

I have a photo of the shed posted in the Bob Vila message board

I have raised a 20'x40' quonset hut using this method,

Assuming studs are 2x4s install a 2x6 horizontally across exterior of stud walls on opposite sides with 3''x3/8 lagscrews into every 2nd stud at appropriate height for the jacks then lagscrew shorter 2x6 blocks onto 2x6 spanning at least two studs to place jacks under (you may have to use two blocks thickness to give jacks room to fit.) or you could attach steel angl iron in place of 2x6 blocksif you can get them. make sure blocks are secured well. use 1 jack at each corner and get a friend to help you raise each corner at equal intervals. a single five ton hydraulic would probably raise the whole shed but you need one at each corner to raise shed evenly. if shed doesn't have a floor you could place 2x6s across inner walls and do the same procedure

another option would be to dig ahole at each corner of shed deep and big enough to accomodate jacks slide 4x4 timber under building place over jacks and raise shed . jacks may sink into ground so you may have to place cement bloc or cement stepping stone under jacks for a footer.
