my 8 year old cousin lives with us, hes been here for a a year now, I found one of my Pads (dont worry a clean on) in his bin, I didnt say anything to him because I didnt want to embarrass him so i told my mum, she had a quiet word with him and explained what they are, since then my dad has found 3 in our back garden and 4! on our shed roof where hes chucked them out the window.
why is this? they cant be that interesting... can they?
My 8 year old BOY cousin keeps taking my pads, anyone has a son or brother whos done the same?
Put some dirty ones back in the box. That'll stop him!
Reply:My youngest went through this phase where he would play with my tampons. I was finding the "popped" all over the house. Long story short, when I found out who was doing it we had a bit of a talk. When I asked my baby why he was playing with them he promptly replied," Aren't they rockets Mama?"
Reply:DONT LEAVE YOUR PADS ON VIEW, OR ANYTHING ELSE PERSONAL LOCK IT AWAY,
Reply:Let's see, you start off with an actual question, move on to insulting someone for expressing their take ont he situation, to displaying your email (or at least what you claim to be) you received from this person, and then verbally assault another person for stating what they have observed.
It appears to me as though you are behaving CHILDISHLY, are SEEKING ATTENTION, and in doing so creating an ARGUMENT in an area which is not designed for it. I would suggest a chat room, but quite frankly my dear, with the amount of GROWING UP you appear to need, I don't think that would be appropriate for you or the rest of the chat room.
Oh, yeah, by the way, I'm reporting you. You are in violation of the Yahoo! Answers guidelines and I find your behavior offensive.
Reply:hm.. as long as they are clean, i dont think you have much to worry about...
i mean clean from everything...
maybe he is experimenting with them, i know its weird to say, but many kids find odd things amusing..
try to hide them where he will not be so exposed or able to find them...
hm....
good luck
;)
Reply:hide them up high?
Reply:I can't answer WHY he's doing it, but surely you need to move them from where he's finding them so that he no longer has access to them.
Try not to make a Big Deal out it. If he knows it's wrong, he may just continue in order to get attention...
I agree, they are not interesting... But if he knows they are Forbidden Fruit, that's their charm...if you see what I mean
Reply:Sounds like he hasn't a clue what they are and that he's bored. I'd definitely hide them somewhere out of his reach, he could just be curious as to what they are.
Reply:Piggy grow the hell up your meant to be a mother,
as for your cousin darlin, its because he knows hes not allowed to touch them, try talking to him again
Reply:you must hide it away.
its quite embarrsing when little kids do that or bring out your sanitary towels/pads etc
i remember i had one in my handbag, and my niece who was little then got it out front of my uncle, and she was like, " Oh my mum wears these as well" saying it loud near him
Reply:put them in your room in a drawer if they arent where he can get to them he cant waste them and talk to him tell him what they are used for and that they are expensive
in the future take your childish rants to the person in email dont post in on the board
Reply:First he probably dumped water in them to see how much they can hold, and then he probably used them for protective padding so he can hit brick walls, throw himself on the ground, and do other fun boy things.
Reply:I've went thought this with my little nephew, there is not alot you can do apart from keeping them hidden, hope this helps at least a little bit
Reply:i agree with piggy, and are you asking a question or just targeting a particular user?...you sound very immature
Reply:My friends son was putting them in his underwear! She was a single mom; somehow he realized she was wearing these, and he thought he needed to also. I guess he was about 5 when he was told what her period was....sounds like your cousin is just fascinated with the subject right now! Ask him if there is anything else he needs to know on the subject, and make sure he knows that will never be his problem!
Reply:Sounds like he thinks they are something fun to play with. Boys are like that. LoL! They will play with anything that they find entertaining. Who knows...maybe GI Joe likes to sleep on them. I would suggest keeping them in your room for a while so you aren't having to buy more all the time. Good luck.
Reply:If somethings are taboo then kids will want to know why and be attracted to them all the more Just tell him to leave your things alone
Reply:yeah. when i was little my brother and i used to put them on our stuffed animals, we thought they were diapers. we didnt know the difference! ask his mom to explain again that they are not toys. etc. if he still takes them keep them hidden in your room, and bring one into the bathroom whenever you need one. :)
Reply:Boys will be boys. He justs wants to play with them. He's being curious. If I was you I would put my personals in my room that way you know they are safe from your cousin playing frisbee with them. Have a talk with him and let him know that your pads are not toys. Let him know what they are actually used for. That might scare him away for sure. Let him know that if he continues to play with your pads some of his toys are going to come up missing or his allowance will be used to buy you more.
Reply:he probably just likes the sticky bit on them
Reply:Attention by the sound of it.
Ignore it and keep them out of reach/sight
Poor lad is probably still feeling displaced. and just his way of showing it (you don't say whether his parents live with you too)
Just give him some love....annoying though he might be
