One poster stated that the death of the dinosaurs was in fact down to an asteroid strike and not as I stated in my original post. I have carried out extensive experiments in my laboratory (actually my garden shed, Mrs Len was not to happy about my research techniques in the kitchen)
So, what happens if a big asteroid hits the Earth? Judging from realistic simulations involving a large hammer and a common laboratory frog, we can assume it will be pretty bad. Ipso facto, the dino's had no chance, I proved it.
Death of the Dinosaurs, the real reason? Part 2?
From the tell-tale layer at the KT boundary all over the world, it is shown that there was substantial settling of atmospheric dust and debris. This points to firstly an indication that fires broke out all over the world and secondly that the atmosphere was polluted perhaps for several years, causing a dramatic downturn in the global climate.
So, the dinosaurs and 50% of all species were not extinguished by a hammer blow as you ignorantly suggest.
Reply:Are frogs now extinct too ?
