Wooden shed or metal ???

i need a garden shed. should i buy a wooden one or one of those metal ones?

Don't get a metal one. We had one briefly and it blew away once when the wind was really high! They are too flimsy. A wooden one is much better.
Reply:Wooden looks nicer- blends in better to look as though it might have grown there. You'll never get that effect with metal.

Plus wood is flexible so if very windy should be ok and you can treat it with oil etc before using it.
Reply:The metal shed will last longer but not look as nice. The wood shed will look nice and can be painted if you ever want a new look. This is really up to your taste and style preference. Both are about the same on the pros and cons list.
Reply:whichever looks best at your house. properly cared for they should last about the same number of years.
Reply:wooden sheds can be an invite for termite damage and metals for rust. If you're buildinga a metal shed, make sure it is above grade so that any standing water won't get to it(proper drainage around it). If you using wood, make sure that anything that comes in contact with the ground is treated lumber.(proper drainage is a good idea here as well)
