I am infested by rats under a garden shed. Is it better to poison them or trap them?
Rats infestation?
Buy sachets of rat poison from your local agricultural merchants (fraction of high street prices and much stronger) and lay them where pets can't get to them. They will disappear and when they stop disappearing you'll know the problem's been fixed.
I'm an ardent animal lover and rats are cute but 60% of them carry leptospirosis which once nearly killed me. The only good rat is a dead one.
Reply:rats will stink up the place if not discarded not mice.
Reply:set fire to the shed %26amp; claim on the insurance --end of rats
Reply:Get the council rat man out, let him decide then you can sleep with out feeling guilty that you have killed some thing..
Reply:Poison.
Reply:Both!!!
Or shoot them if you have an air rifle - they carry some nasty diseases - get rid of them.
Try and kill the female ones first if you can - to stop them breeding.
I have just had some road works done near my house and we have had the same problem - under the shed - SHOOT them if possible. Only way to be sure - they become immune to the poison
Reply:buy a terrier they sort them out fast
