How to call the Police?

George Phillips of Meridian, Mississippi was going up to bed when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window.



George opened the back door to go turn off the light but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things.



He phoned the police, who asked 'Is someone in your house?' and he said 'no'.



Then the policeman said that all patrols were busy, and that he should simply lock his door and an officer would be arriving when available.



George said, 'Okay,' hung up, counted to 30 seconds, and phoned the police again.



'Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people stealing things from my shed. Well, you don't have to worry about them now because I've just shot them all." Then, he hung up the phone.



Within five minutes three police cars, an Armed Response Unit, and an ambulance showed up at the Phillips' residence and caught the burglars red-handed!!

Last time there was a stabbing at school, in San Jose (for those who care- East San Jose, King and 680 on-ramp), the cops took over forty minutes to respond... it was great... and then they told us to take the victim (a student) to the free clinic on Washington, waited forever then was told because it is a STAB wound we had to take him to the hospital...



lesson... If you are a poor Mexican student who is stabbed- make sure your teacher is willing to take you to a hospital... cause the cops won't...





PS The poor kid kept trying to leave the hospital, because his parents didn't have insurance. If you are a victim of a crime, the state foots the bill. SO GO GET MEDICAL HELP.

Reply:Here in K-Zoo the offecers are rarely at their desk, and one is (forced) to call 911 too much! 911 is for emergencies, and thad is NOT good.
