British Bumble Bee?

I have seen a very large bumble bee going into my garden shed and observed it going under a bench that has a enclosed base, will the bee be making a new hive or will it be just overwintering.

If it is a hive I don't want to destroy it but I also don't want to not be able to enter the shed during the summer.

What advice can anyone give please.

British Bumble Bee?
Bumble bees, unlike honey bees, live in burrows underground (strange but true!). There is a chance that the bumble bee you have seen is creating a new home there. Keep an eye on it and if you see a lot more activity you may want to leave them to carry on happily living in your garden shed.
Reply:Depends on what colour it was. Yellow and black bumble bees make nests in trees and stuff, orange and black ones make hives in the ground.
Reply:Its probably attracted to some pollen there. The boffins though would say its to do with youre mobile phone.
Reply:If it's a bumble bee it wont sting you anyway so just leave it alone.
Reply:Bumble bees are solitary creatures , they dont make hives !!
