Daughter brought in a small spider, was about 1cm in length but may be young so adult size may be bigger.
The top of the main body was white ,with 2 pencil thin reddish stripes on.The bottom of the main body seemed dark possibly black, can anyone shed some light on what type it is.
Love spiders so have put it at the bottom of our garden,we often get spiders in the house but have never seen this one.
Hope you can help identify this,as i would be very interested to know what it is and how common they are.
What is this Spider.?
Comb footed or candy stripe i suspect.

Could be acomb-footed spider from your description.
Reply:Can't help you here..all I know is if it were in my house I would call it DEAD...I hate spiders, all kinds, and never take the time to look at them.
Reply:Try putting a pic of it here http://www.irecognisethat.com
Reply:I think groid is correct. It's a funny looking thing and I don't think I've ever seen one even though they are supposed to be common this time of year.
