A book about a woman whose mother was involved in the occults?

I've been looking for a book on the net, but it's hopeless because I know only the story, not the author or the title. A woman tells her own story: her mother was involved in withchcraft and abused her and her sister when they were small. As an adult she became a Christian. She finally earned a PhD and has one daughter.

The book describes how they had moved back and forth between South Africa and England, how she as a child performed her own occult rituals in a shed in the garden, the tormentous relationships she had with men, and how she later came into contact with Christians who helped her.

(If you think this is rediculous: I thought so too and didn't want to read the book at first. A friend gave it to me, so in the end I felt compelled to read it and was impressed with the author's calm, rational approach to the occults and her balanced view of the Christian faith.)

But I'm looking for the book... Do you know it?

A book about a woman whose mother was involved in the occults?
Do you know how old the book is.? Did you read it recently or when you were little.? Do you remember the friend that lent it to you.? Can you ask them?

You could try getting into a reading or book chat room, asking someone there might help. Or a bigger library might be a good spot, You can ask the librarian.
Reply:Amelie cults are very dangerous

be careful of cults such as islam, scientology, african and eastern cults

once you are hooked on one of them escaping becomes vertually impossible

same goes for the occult as well
Reply:Sorry, Ameile, do not know of the book, but I do know that playing with the occult is dangerous, often fatal.

God did allow one man to escape elive to tell his story. You will find it very informative at http://abiblecode.tripod.com Select the occult link.
