Wireless pci?? first time buyer? which one?
Before you buy the card make sure you know what type of router your sis. have (a/b/g/n) there are 4 main types they are back compatible, so is she ha a (b) is compatible with (a) and if she have a (g) is back compatible with (a/b) and (n) is compatible with all the others so after you find that you can go and purchase the one you need "linksys" are good i have a d-link and it work great. about the signal is not really about the card that you purchase but the antenna that your sis. router have also how many walls it has to go through to get to the shed all that make a difference in the signal strength if you are in no hurry www.newegg.com can deliver in 3 days and they have great prices and costumer service if not go to circuit city or best buy. Try to stay away from usb ones if you can get this type for laptops http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowImage.... or this type for desktop http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowImage.... .........good luck
Reply:If it's a laptop, your looking for a PCM-CIA wireless NIC card. I believe any G rated card will work fine. I'd stay away from the USB if it's a laptop becasue they can bend pretty easy - but if it's a desktop, you can just get a USB NIC card.
