Dog selling :(?
aww...
i think you should talk with the owner of the house, proove that your dog won't do any harm to it. i think you shouldnt sell your dog, especially if yooh love him. i think you should talk wif your parents, if not maybe choose another house?? that is realli hard talk wif your parents
Reply:ask your mom if she is selling you too....
I am sorry but I dont understand all of this. She got a dog. He is a family member and now because she is changing jobs and moving she cant take the dog? If she cant take the dog to this house where she is moving to, why didnt she find a place where dogs are alowed?
If you take a dog in, you do whatever it takes to keep it till the very last day of his life. Its a FAMILY MEMBER
Reply:If you have to get rid of him, I would put ads out, and interview potential owners, to make sure you are sending him to a good home. You can charge money to see if the people are really serious, but don't look at it as a money making scheme.
Good luck, hope things work out well for you and the dog, and I'm sorry you have to part with your pup.
Reply:That's tough. For me, it would be no deal. I am actually in the process of buying a house right now BECAUSE of my dogs. I live in an apartment and am really only looking for a house because I want them to have room to run. The shed is a good idea. I would just hope you gave him 10 times the love and maybe sneak him in if you could. I don't know the situation, but thats what I would try.
Reply:You are right that it wouldn't be very fair to keep him outside when he is not accustomed to it, and doesn't have the right shelter. Do you know of an acquaintance that might be willing to take him in. If someone you knew adopted him you would still be able to visit and see that he's in a good home.
Reply:You could run an ad in the local paper written from the dog's perspective. Works for my rescues. Also there is petfinder--thru a rescue group or a vet--listing or craigslist but check people out carefully. Ask a price--even $50 keeps the strange calls to a minimum. Never free!! Need to have a monetary investment in some people's minds to make them important. If a particular breed--you can contact that breed rescue thru the internet locally for help.
Good luck....
Reply:Maybe you could offer a large deposit to cover any damage the dog may do or sign a contract saying you will be legally responsible for any damage caused by the dog. Is the dog allowed inside during the day? If so how will they even know where he sleeps?
Reply:When you got the dogs your family made a lifelong commitment to the dogs no matter what. Just because you got a new house is no reason to throw the dogs outside!
Reply:I would find him a new home. Dogs don't belong outside.
