Weird recurring dream about dead childhood pet?

I left home about 10 years ago so I guess the guinea pig died about 15 or so years ago, yet on occasion I still dream she is alive.



The dream is that I realise I have forgotten about her for all of these years and when I get into the shed, she is still in her cage but barely alive.



I found her dead when I was young and my mum had just called me from work to tell me off for staying in bed when I should have put the guniea pig out in the garden earlier. It was very traumatic when I found her stiff in the cage . . .



Is the dream because I still all these years later, blame myself for her death?

Reply:I think your pet is trying to tell you that however i'ts death was traumatic to you, rest assured animals do go to heaven and you will be reunited one day. :)
Reply:It probally is just childhood trauma from having something bad happen. Especially if you were attached to that pet.
